Hunter glitter strands clumping and sticking

Hi All, recently purchased a Hunter lamp with the strands of glitter. I have 4 Crestworth Glitterlites and 4 Living Jewels, but this is my first Hunter. Upon receipt I noticed that there was a fair amount of the strands stuck to the sides of the bottle which don't appear to want to shift (haven't tried shaking!), and when I run it, most of the floating strands tend to gradually clump together. Will a few cycles remedy this or is there another technique I ought to try? Cheers!
