I Might Have Been Burned....
I'm not sure but the globe for the lantern I just bought seems a WHOLE lot cloudier than in the picture I used to buy the thing.
The advertised picture is the one with the case next to it...looks pretty good, huh? Even though it was a china it looked so good in the photo I decided to go for it.
Now look at what I unpacked: foggier than London in the morning. I am pretty bummed. It's the cloudiest of any china I have personally seen....or does it just look that way because it hasn't been turned on for long?
What could have happened? It was packed well.

After 90 mins of running its no better...looks nothing like the picture in the ad:

It should clear up somewhat, I agree the china lamps will cloud in shipping. My lantern globe is clear but not 100%, it just retains some fog no matter what. Also the US globes will not fit the base but any China globe will. The purple/yellow China globe just dont have that same vibrancy as the US globes, my plan is to refill the China globe with US contents. The lantern base is very nice though. I dont really think they swapped anything out before shipping it out, I think it clouded in transit, let it sit a few days and then run it a few times.
