Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Can anyone help me with this, I bought this globe about a year ago off craigslist and swapped the liquid from a globe that was shot. The original liquid was ruined due to the seller adding water to it thinking it was the master fluid.

Try a 60 watt bulb, it might need more heat.  But be ready to use a dimmer if it starts to overheat.

I've got one that was like that until I changed to a higher wattage bulb.

I’ll keep that in mind next time I hit up the hardware store. I recently fixed my Aztec with a 25 watt bulb restored it to normal flow.

I bought a 60 watt bulb thinking it’d fit (too big) any suggestions on finding a appliance bulb that size for a aristocrat...

They do make appliance bulbs in 60 Watt but they are hard to find.

FYI--"Master fluid" is simply distilled water, some SURF, Propylene Glycol and dye

If it isn't floating when heated with factory blub, just add some PG to adjust the specific gravity

I’ve collected lamps forever but I’ve never moved wax only liquids. Where would I look for Propane glycol?

eBay, Farm & Fleet, or Venetian supply
