Lava and earthquakes

Has anyone been though a good earthquake with lava flowing? Did it ruin it or fall off the shelf?

I had a nephew who shook one of my hot and operating pre-China 32oz wizard lamps. I thought the the lamp was going to be ruined. I let it sit for a couple of days and it cleared right up and works fine.
