Lava flowing without salt?

Hi people. Here's the thing: i filled 2 wax bottles with distilled water and added drops of washing dish liquid. I didn't add epsom salt. Surprisingly the lava is flowing normally in the 2 bottles. Can someone explain why it works without salt?

The wax is balanced to the gravity of water without a density modifier. Different manufacturers use different density targets for various reasons.
