Lava Lamp Grande Issue

I recently had the oppurtunity to purchase a couple of Lava Lite Grandes 27" but I have a small issue which baffles me.

One of them when lit up reflects the light to the top and reflects the light back, but the other doesnt. Tried searching on Google but to no result

Attached is the photo of what I mean. Does anyone have any idea?

Were you supposed to put both the photos of one which refelcts the the light and the other which doesn't?

Both your photos seem to be the same.

My mistake lol. As you can see on the pic, the light from the base shines through to the top on the red grande but on the green it doesnt. Totally baffled as to why because the liquid doesnt seem cloudy

I think that just because of the different colours.  The green and blue is darker so the light doesn't reflect through it as much.  Well that's my conclusion anyway.  I could be wrong.  Also when lamps are in full flow more light will reflect to the top because there is less wax on the bottom so the light will be stronger obviously.

it just the density of the pigment of the color of the lava that allows the light to pass through one and not the other as much
