Yeah a few people did, they have the same problems as all other heritage centuries.

Yup, same issues.  Its like this formula is too hard or something.  Takes a ton of heat to get it moving, but then it seems its too hot and all goes to the top.  Dial it down a tad then it flows OK (not good, but ok) for about an hour then it starts to harden up as its flowing again.  I ended up with a hardened lava column the one time.  I tried to call Susan several times on Friday but got no answer.  Ended up leaving a voicemail.

Sounds like the formula needs super heating... a real pain in the arse... popping them is ok but resealing is a pain in the......!!!

You know what's weird? When I'm running both of my Grandes and I go to look at them, they are often exhibiting the same pattern of flow. It's odd!

I have been having the same issues with my Heritage Century yellow/red, but I must admit, after running it for 8-10 hours a day every day since I got it 12 days ago, its DEFINITELY getting A LITTLE better than it was that first day or two....

Anyone else received the new bulb from Lava Lite we're supposed to try?

I've not gotten the new bulb, or even my Pink Grande yet, Erin.

Has anyone that contacted LL on the issues with the Centuries gotten any resolution?  Has anyone sent their Century lamp back?  I contacted via email last week and Friday Susan asked for pictures - I sent the pictures over the weekend but haven't heard anything from her since.  I'm thinking about just packing it up and sending it back - I know they've heard about the problems multiple times before I contacted them.  I ran mine again Saturday for at least 12 hours and it seems to be getting worse, not better.  Now I have more stuck wax in the neck at the top and instead of the cooled wax hardening in a nice little pool at the bottom it hardened in the spike phase it was in.  That's a new one for me!

I haven't run mine since I heard from Susan. She said he was going to send me (and others) a 40W reflector. I have to admit, I don't want to keep the lamp. I have wax stuck up at the top, too. I just want to return it. It's not worth the cost.

I got a refund on mine. I didn't wanna keep it, not worth that price.

Susan called me today...she is awesome!!  We talked about the Century, and she mentioned the R16 bulb, I told her I actually had bought one already and had been running it with that for several cycles and that things definitely were better, but still not what I expected.  She asked if I could continue to run it for a few more cycles and see if things changed, and give her a call on Monday.  I will do this and see how it goes.  I like the lamp and the color...I hate to send it back, but if it isn't going to flow right then I don't want it.

She also took care of me on that cloudy yellow clear-view.  A replacement globe is on its way :)  And I got my Green Grande today...wasn't expecting it till the end of the week, if even that soon, since I just got the email notification today. But when I tracked it from work I found it was on my porch!!  Apparently it had shipped on Nov 8th :) :)  Now I can't wait till sat to fire it up.  Looks good though, clear globe and no dents or dings on the base or cap.  The dimmer was loose and the socket was misaligned, but those were 2 quick and easy no sweat fixes.

thanks for the update jeff.  my centuries are flowing somewhat better after running them for 24+ hours at a time with a 24-hour resting period in between.  still not that great, but definitely better than they were the first week i ran them.  i'm hoping the R16 bulbs that susan sends will fix the problem.  i don't want a refund - i really like these lamps.  i just want them to work as they should!
