Good luck...hopefully it straightens out for you. It would be a pain to have to return a lamp this big. Mines still warming up....5 hrs.
BTW are you guys "simmering" (dimming down) these new Grandes during off times to reduce the startup time or just turning them completely off every night? For awhile I was doing this on my 1st 2 Grandes using plug-in inline dimmers but after what happened w/ the blue/yellow (flow went to crap), and even the purple/yellow (now needs more heat for some reason - had to use a bulb extender) I'm worried that maybe simmering them was the cause of the problems. So I'm afraid to do that w /this one, but hate not being able to use it on weeknights.
I've never "simmered" mine, Jeff, but I run it for a couple of days at a time sometimes. It's never overheated, and now has a towel around the base to keep it warm enough. It's cold in this house. With the towel, it's flowing like a champ. But I turn it completely off when not running it.
I do hope that clears up for you, Rodrigo, but if it doesn't, send Susan pictures and I'm sure she'll send you a replacement globe for it. I doubt they'll even ask you to send that one back.
Or there's this, "but we talked about it. I thought you said OK"

This has to be played very carefully. The wife doesn't know I ordered them. They just have to "appear" amongst the lamp collection like they've been there all the long. Patience, grasshopper!
Jeez guys... enough is enough already.
I'm not even gonna scroll back to read Pete. I'll take your word for it ;)

My Neon Pink Grande just arrived and the base/cap and globe are perfect. But it looks like "purple" wax??? I'm gonna let it get back to room temp and I have it wrapped in a towel also. Everything else looks alright, I hope. There are those little white blobs on top of and in the wax. I'm not too concerned about that.......yet. They were also like that in my Red Wizard, but melted and were incorporated back into the wax after it got completely melted and had flowed for a few hours.
It's also just a tiny bit hazy, but hopefully that will clear up. I'm a bit weirded out about the color of the wax though.....but it might just have frozen along the way, it's very cold there and here.
The wax will look kinda magenta when cold. My mom took a look at it running and said it looked red to her. I like it, either way. :)
Whew, thanks, Erin!! That's a huge relief! I don't mind the color as long as that white stuff melts and it flows well. I love these Grandes!! ;-)

I hope I have not offended anyone on here... but it just not fair !
