Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Hey, i have this one lamp where the lava just goes up in a tower, to the middle, or even all the way to the top in a single column and stays there, it wont break off into blobs,

if you look closely at it you can see the outside 'skin' of the lave flowing down, and i assume the inside lava is coming up through the center, so it is like cycleing through the lava tower, my other lamp works fine, im using a 40w clear bulb

what should i do

It may have the answer you are looking for
i put in a 60w but it doesn't seem to be changing anything, i noticed that the lava is full of bubbles, but they are trapped inside as well
no its an old one with a black base, the regular model i guess
those century models look cool i havn't seen those before, are they made by the Lava Lite company?
well i put in a 60w and it didn't seem to change anything, which is wierd, so i dont think its a heat problem
yeah looks like the silver streak one, the classic model i guess
i did swap the lightbulbs from one to the other, and it made no difference
