Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Okay so i got a wizard lamp in the mail plugged it in after a few hours the lava is all on the side of the globe. Like a snake. What would a solution be? This is a US made lamp. The liquid is also extremely cloudy  when lava goes up you can you it unless there is no light and it will be faint. Any solutions without opening it?

Can you post a pic?

I would say keep running it at this point. The snake up the side ... it's actually stuck to the glass?

Here is the picture Erin the snake is rather low now. On the other side you cant see the snake

What wattage bulb are you using? Keep running it. Does any of it dislodge from the side? Any up and down movement? Have you tried gently rotating the globe while warm to see if it will dislodge? Wear gloves or use a towel when you do this.

40 watt bulb, none dislodges from the side. It eventually got to the top and lust put all the lava up there. There is occasional up and down movment also. The main thing i want to fix is the cloudiness. How should i do this without opening it because i dont want to mess it up.

Edit: tried spining the globe and it appears to have disloged! Now just the cloudiness

The cloudiness can and will go away with time. Just run it about 6 hours a day for a week or so and see if it clears up. Some of these 90s lamps can be a little cloudy from inactivity. Just give it time.
Will do.Would it work to run it on a dimmer all day?

Dimmer...not so sure. Did you mean timer? You could always do 4 hours on, 4 hours off. That kinda thing. It does need a period of being off and cooling down to clear up the cloudiness.

ok i'll get a timer or just do it mannualy thanks for the help and the lava is still flowing in the middle and not stuck!
