Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Lava Wave Machine

I have a lava wave machine that has the black rubber stopper in the end. Seems to need about maybe 1 or 2 tables spoons of the clear liquid in it to maybe help the balance some. Any ideas on what the clear liquid is or what I can add.  Thanks
