Possible - the price of the 'current' lunar could fall as it could be cheaper and easier to get a new lunar rather then the old models. However this could not be the case as the new lunar will be a 'smart' lunar so wont have 2 colours in the bottle so if you want that then you would have to get a old lunar. Mathmos may have thought around this and there could be a setting to allow the convential bottles to the run on the new lunar.

I know what I still want if I could afford it - a new lunar and a old lunar with a yellow / blue custom bottle.

I alsothink they will be more expensive theese days. I hope they can match the quality as I sold my lunars as long as only few people knew about the new one...If it really is a smart lunar I hope they have a full colour spektrum led and not 3 different models again!
