Lunar rewire

Hey

I just bought a lunar from ebay and have had it polished up, I have a new bottle, bulb holder and bulb etc but am a bit stuck on how to fix the holder in to the base and about using the correct wire - I have a spare Mathmos one but will this be OK for the higher wattage bulb?

 

I have bought a dimmer also but not sure how to fix it all together -- there's nothing to fix to in the base but I have seen from pics of the lunar there is a kind of stopper or fixing underneath the base -- anyone with one have a suggestion??

Aww mate I feel for ya, how frustrating. Im sure one of the other Lunar owners here will be able to help you when they see your posting. good luck with it, can't wait to see photo when you get there :)

Cheers for all that , have got the flex now so just waiting to get my lamp through from the polishers and can get started! If you could send the pic of the dimmer would be much appreciated -- have got a new lamp holder from clas ohlson as the one sent was a bit battered (hate people who give crap desciptions on ebay.... grrr.

 

Will need to improvise with the clamp  - will think of something!

 

Cant wait to get it going, will post some pics when sorted!
