Making a lunar glitter (UK advice)

So i'm getting an empty lunar bottle, and would really like some advice please :)

No way can I afford to fill it from Mathmos bottles, and TBH I was more after a smaller glitter than the Mathmos ones, although that would still do nicely.

 

I'm in the UK. whats the best & cheapest glitter lamps to re-fill from?

I dont know alot about glitters but i'm assuming as long as I use the same bottles, volume is not an issue like maybe it would be with lava.

 

In my dream of dreams i would make a glitter strand like the hunter type ones, but not knowing anything about the perc mix, i'm walking blind here.
I'm prepared to make my own, i just dont know where to start!

Yes, thats the kind of thing I was after, doesn't look quite so much like bits of tin foil!

So do you know exactly what volume is required for a lunar?

I would use coloured bulbs at a push but in my mind i see silver glitter in coloured fluid. With coloured bulbs i think the glitter picks up more colour and thats not what i'm imagining.

I have seen the colour I want from Lavalite only problem is it only comes in a smaller size, so thats really why I was asking how much volume

Although i'm a Mathmos girl through and through, i'm happy to admit i prefer the smaller flakes of the lite glitter in a vase of this size.
it just looks more cosy somewhat.
