Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Hey guys - Been a while since I posted.  I used to get amazing deals when eBay first started, but now I never do.  However, that has just changed.  One of the very few Florence and/or Mastercrafters lamps that I don't have is the plastic Model #434.  Money's tight, so I didn't expect to get one anytime soon.  But look what I just got for $10.49.  The only other bidder bid $9.99.  There is a small crack on the bottom front, but the seller says the back and label are still there.  My first big score in a long time!

There's another one on eBay right now with an opening bid of $150 and a BUY IT NOW of $195.

The photos are taken directly from the auction I won.  I'm psyched to add this beauty to my collection!

The silver one is less common than one with flame-orange. Congrats! The official model name for the 434 is "Magic Lite". You have an Action Starlight already? I've sen the latter with other liquid colors (med. blue, emerald, flame, amber, etc.) but have only seen the Magic Lite with clear and flame. The Magic Lite itself also seems to be less common than a clear/sillver Action Starlight.
I have 2 of the Action Starlights! I got them years and years ago. They're both clear/silver. I bought my partner an Magic Lite about 6 years ago. His is painted white. I believe it was factory painted as I have seen a few of them painted the same white over the years.

Money has been really tight the last couple of years, so my collecting of rare lavas/glitters has been kept to a minimum. I believe, after buying this Magic Lite, that I am only missing 2 from the Florence, Heet, Mastercrafters group. I don't have either size of the triple round lamps. I even have one of the small single Florences with lava. It's the only one I've ever seen. It has a tiny coil at the bottom and is clear liquid with a yellowish/orange lava.

I would still like to do a book on vintage lavas and glitters with you!
