has the newer shiny fins, base and top are nice and shiny very few fine scratches. Some lava does stick to the side. cloudy when cold, clear when running. stunning lamp. produces tons of glitterballs. UK wired. US buyers would need to rewire or get power convertor. I'm in the US. $200
