Mathmos Heritage Astro United States

Help! I'm dying to get a Mathmos Heritage Astro lava lamp for the 50th anniversary of the lava lamp, but I can't seem to find it anywhere that will ship to the United States! The Mathmos US website does not have it, and the UK website will not ship to the US. I have also found a website called "minimalhome" that has it, but also will not ship to the US :( Any suggestions or places to buy?

Hmm that could be a reason why mathmos doesn't do it, I think there really may be a limit but maybe they're not strict about it at all, after all what if you say no liquids but there are? They won't open a box just to check it, at least here on the US they don't idk about over there, I hope my baby astro arrives..

I'm quite sure Mathmos doesn't ship to the US because Lava Lite has a trademark on the Astro / Astro Baby shape. Mathmos does sell Telstars in the US and has been promising to have Fluidiums available (though it doesn't look like they actually care very much).

I would really love to get one too! I contacted Mathmos about getting any astro in the us (especially the heritage), and they said that they would be closing the us store on their site and selling in the us through lights.com. So, I emailed lights.com, and they said:
"Possibly, never.
If it does come it won't be for at least another 2-3 months.

So, maybe everyone that is interested in being able to get an astro through them should email them to show them that there is an interest in Astros in the us.

The Astro will prob never come to the USA due to the shape. Baby Astros maybe

The Fluidium has been discontinued for about 6 months. All they have left is back stock.

They will prob open it. My last Fluidium took longer to get here due to customs inspections

Are you guys sure this law is true? I contacted the ebay seller and she said she hasnt heard of it, and that the lady at the post office wouldve told her about it if it wont make it. She also said she shipped a lamp to the US in July, when i told her the law passed in April. She said there is a law for anything over 1 liter, but the lamp she shipped is rated under a liter so it should be good according to that. I guess I will have to wait and see, either i get a lamp or a refund, hopefully a lamp though.

I have bought several Mathmos bottles out of the UK since April and there has been no issue other than high shipping cost. I even had a Lunar bottle shipped here from the UK with no issue. I think that "new law" business is untrue.
