So many of you know I am in the midst of creating a rather large and Monster filled Haunted Walk.
Intotal when all is set up I will be using probably 1200 sq feet. A tarped in area will be the Haunted Swamp with a graveyard and a Voo Doo Priestess and her Zombies shrinking Heads.
Leading into the WereWolves Dungeon... and Lair of Vampires ..... Black Widows Nesting Ground
Pass through a Funeral Parlor during lunch break and crawl thru Crusty s Zoom Tube...
So here is just a tiny glimpse of Phase I
Setting the stage.. today ended up being a detail day.. Lair of the Black Widow has all her nests built , got Frankenstein built and tomorrow I will work on his area .. as well as Wolf-mans cage. I am hoping to finish up most of main indoor part so i can get rid of most colored lights and hang all black.. also then i can hang my dividers.. It wont be a big open space .. for now of course with tools, ladders, larger than life sized Monsters i need the space. Putting in about 10 hours a day as of now.. kids stop by periodically to lend a hand as do friends , and offer a hand with some of the bigger things that takes two but i think next yr I will have to employ a Zombie or two
Well enjoy and again any input or ideas welcome..

well the amount of people that will be coming thru will exceed a few hundred... many of them under 2 ft tall..so deatail is very important... I love them to take their time.. linger... kicking all their senses into high over drive..The skull heads in the dungeon actually do stink a bit of rotting ... then in the clown area my vaporizer will have a real sweet cotton candy scent coming out...in the crawl tunnel I have a load of bubble wrap that is going under a layer of cardboard but in certain areas.. so when they hit it.. it will startle them..lol...
But yes the lighting is about the most essential part ..and placement of them...as the angles of the dividers that separates the areas.. Since a child i have a love of haunted houses.. so much of this is as much for me and it is to bring fear , tears and wet pants ...
Anxious to get farther along then I seem to be I decided to get into the garden and get a portion of it started..
So Far So Good...Black out tarps will be lowered tomorrow in garden finally as I am to the point where lighting placement is key..through the yr I build, create in preparation to this time of year but it hardly seems enough..
hehe.. yes.. I see how you could feel like that.. as many of these shots were up with laser pointed directly at a given area and we just had fun with it and figured out the different patterns and speeds..and many shots were up close to beams..the room is larger than50 X 50 density of laser light can also be controlled.. and wish I could get a more true shot and perhaps sway you...lol
the laser will be aimed at on area and of course some will spill off... must remember this is also a play area of sorts for loads of kids.. so the idea of lasers is to bring a bit more chaos and throw off equilibrium.. There is a make shift tunnel maze for the kids to crawl thru the lights will change a pretty basic pattern into one seemingly more complex.. lasers really impair depth perception..

I like the blue wash lighting, the UV and farie lights etc but i am not too sure about the lazer's - they make it look quite taky.
