Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

I just got a 14.5 lava lamp. The first time I plugged it in and used it, it flowed perfectly.
Every time since then, it warms up, then makes the domed glob like in the "too hot" illustration.
I'm using the 25 watt bulb supplied with the lamp. I even tried using a 15 watt, but that wasn't enough to do anything.
What's a solution for it constantly being "too hot' except for turning it off?

Sadly thats how new lamps are made. Lava world sold their company and now make their lamps in china and they do not flow right at all. They are 100% trash and there is nothing you can do to fix your lamp. The only advice I can give you is to return the lamp. Sorry.
