Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

One of the girls i work with gave me this lamp for helping her fix her computer i was wondering if anyone could tell me who made it and how long i can safely run it without over heating it. It is hard to tell from the picture but the liquid in it is blue the wax is red and the base and cap are black. On the bottle cap it has no thing on it but the number 3. Thanks in advance for any help. Also im curious about how id change the bulb as the globe doesnt seem to want to come off the base.

This is one of countless variants on a basic shape used by imported lamps. It isn't rare or valuable, but if you like it, excellent. Many collectors call this shape a "peace lamp", named for one of the first import models to use it, which sold itself using that name and hearts, flowers and peace symbols on the box to create a generic hippie theme.
Oh i do love the lamp the fluid in its crystal clear and it flows very well. Any suggestions on how long i can run it safely?
