So, I am impatient and want anyone's opinion, lol... SO I have come to the experts. I just bought this dream lava lamp I have always wanted. Shows up from Amazon cloudy... (See picture below) ((Does it look like a 44-year-olds room with five kids?? lol)
Been running for 4 or 5 days now (10 hours or so a day). It has cleared up maybe 20%... MAYBE...
Should I wait longer? Should I return it? I want a clear lamp... uhg!
My first post, so Hi everyone and thanks for any help.

I purchased a grande a couple months back from Amazon and it was covered in scratches. I returned it and got a new one and it was in perfect condition. Once they knew I wanted to return it, they sent a new one right away. I had it in 2 days. As long as you return the cloudy lamp, they won't charge you for the new one. There's no reason to keep a lamp that is that cloudy when you can have a new one arrive in 2 days... That's just my opinion.
I did the same thing w/ a lamp I bought on ebay, and one I bought from lava lamp.
Return it.
Return it! If you tried to fix it you would void any return options.
Funny you mention this.
I just received a custom Grande on Wednesday that is cloudy. I called Lava Lite this morning and they want me to run this for a week or so and if it remains cloudy then to call them back.
They claim this will clear up but I kind of doubt that. This is also the first cloudy lamp I've ever received. All my others were either crystal clear or had just a slight haze that cleared up after the first use.
What is this color combo?

It is yellow liquid / red wax with gold base and top.
That's a total bummer!

I hope it clears up for you...
My new one will be here on Monday! Here's hoping it will be okay.
I appreciate the replies, guys...
Okay guys, I got my new one. The picture DOES NOT do justice! lol...
Though very slightly cloudy from shipping, I am sure. I can see the wax moving and my hand on the other side of the lamp when I place it behind it, lol... I tried to send back my other but it started leaking out top... Curious if that was a reason it was so bad. I am going to attempt a refill and recap... Not sure how to do that yet... But will learn...
I just (2019-03-17) bought 3 lamps from amazon. 11, 14,16, and two of them came cloudy. I contected the manufacturer (Schylling Toys) and they recommend that I rapid (2hrs on 2hrs off) cycle it for a week. If it is still cloudy, return it. I then contacted Amazon to see if I could return the cloudy lamps after the declouding procedure and they said I have plenty of time to do a return if the declouding doesn't work.
I've never managed to 'decloud' a lamp.
In my experience they're either clear or cloudy, or somewhere in between!
And I can't imagine why a lamp would cloud up during shipping, unless it's got hot enough somewhere to melt the wax a little on route? Athough I've only really had experience with mathmos lamps.
Personally I'd ship it back.
