I've been studying ebay for awhile now... and I just saw a nice older (century model I THINK), go for $88 plus shipping red/clear with box..starlight base. So.. is this reasonable? I know they are worth what people will pay for them,, but what's a nice general guideline? I see the "vintage" 32 oz variety go for about $20-35 + shipping.. There's a screw top one I'm seeing that I'd love to have.. but man $88 is out of my price range. (my problem I know... ah well). Does this question really have an answer?

That is a great lamp... but ... if I paid $300 for a lava lamp... things would not go well at home. I really like the one next to it actually. What style is that one called?
Kind of disagree and agree with the lamp not flowing thing. I saw an excellently clear orange liq and white wax lamp so I bought it. Pic showed no flow. Well it was a goose egg. I added another coil to it and it's my most freaking gorgeous lamp I have now. I also melted the wax to the coil as well though. Then there's my blip that i got that wasn't flowing and came with a pinecone. That's a story in and of itself for 13 dollars free shipping. And well it flows great, has excellent color, the pinecone is gigantic and kicks pinecone ass, and well I could honestly not be happier. So in the end the 2 lamps that I saw not flowing turned out to be incredible. As for the whole eBay thing. Well, it's like I just mentioned, I got a USA Blip w/pinceone for 13 bucks. Then I've also paid 40 for a clear/red lamp that's a mere 32 ouncer. It's volatile just like previously stated.
