As Pete would say, "Sea in my eyes." You will be sorely missed around here.

I am fairly new so I probably didn't know Pete but may he rest in peace and my sympathies to his family.
Thank you for posting this, Kirk, Pete would have loved it. He will certainly be missed by us. I have my Astro Baby he sent me running right now for him. This is a sad day, my friend.
I've been thinking about him all day, Libby.
We had some great times with our virtual friend, Lady Stardust. I loved how he called me, "Glitterboy." He genuinely liked and respected the USA - calling us the "land of the brave."
He was a friend to all here, and he LOVED lava and glitter lamps. I'd like to think they gave him some solace as he braved his battle with cancer.
Here's to you, Pete -- our most fine British friend.
He is in a better place now, may he rest in peace. We won't forget the help he gave us all, and best wishes to his family and all his friends. We shall all miss him dearly. Rest in peace, Pete. I did not know you well, but your love for lamps and the community shines very brightly.
Amen, Kirk!!! He was the best, and I'm sure his lamps gave him great solace during the difficult battle he had. I remember when he named me "Lady Stardust" and you "Glitterboy," we laughed about it for weeks. He's not left my mind today either, and my "Pete" Astro Baby he snagged brand new from that thrift store and sent me is still running, and has been since you told me. I'll never forget him and what great times we had with him, Kirk. Pete was one of a kind and a wonderful friend. Here's to you too, Rocket Man, your friendship, great sense of humor and kindness will forever be with us.
Very saddened to hear this news.
Pete was an incredible guy from 'across the pond'. Always sharing something wonderful with the group from music to lamps and down to his little animal friends. He made everyone feel welcome and came through with enthusiastic flair in anything he said or did with us OG'ers.
You made this place extra shiny and bright, Pete. I feel very fortunate to have made your acquaintance over the past few years, sharing in lamps, laughs and good music. The world lost another one of the greats, may you smile down on all of us now, even us crazy Yanks ;)
Love to you and yours Pete, you will be missed.

Oh no... this is terrible news. Pete was such a kind soul and helpful friend. I am grateful for the messages we exchanged. He had a good heart and this is so awful to hear. RIP, dear friend.
