Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

I have a quick question-I acquired a nice lamp, from early 1990, and where the cord goes into the base on the back, there is a black plastic thing holding the cord in the base, it's hard to describe. It's so you can't pull the cord out of the base. Anyways, this lamp doesn't have one, it's a hole where the cord goes into that base. I have a bad base, with a good plastic clip in it. My question is how does this clip come out? I don't want to ruin it by taking pliers and trying to pull it out. There has to be an easier way to take it out, does anyone out here know how to? Please let me know, looking forward to getting this fixed. Dave

You might check Radio Shack for the plastic cord holder. I have bought them there before.

By the way, check your regular email account for info on the Enchantress and please answer my friend request here on the goo so I can send you personal messages. Looking forward to talking later!
