Problems with the flow on new lamps

The last few lamps that I have purchased don't really flow right.
The lava is just in balls, it doesn't ooze up and then separate.

These are the orginal Lava brand.

Does anybody have any ideas on what I could do to make these lamps work correctly or
where I can purchase new lamps that do no do this?

I am not sure if they are from China because I still do not have the box.

All I know is that I bought them online and they are marketed as "the orginal lava brand"

Do you have an online site where I can purchase another brand that works better?

I used to have some that worked MUCH better
