Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Hi all,

I'm new to the forum but have been collecting Lava Lamps for years.  I'm looking to scale back some of my collection and was wondering if anyone know anything about a Purple glitter Grande Lamp.  I have one I got years back from Spencers, it had been their display model.  I haven't seen another once since then anywhere.  Are these lamps rare/valuable?  If I sell it on ebay, does anyone know what I could expect for it?  Thanks for the help,

Steve

Hmm, interesting.  I have the teal glitter grande as well but dont run it all that often and have never noticed any problems.  Its also kinda of weird because the glitter seems to be a different shape/style than in the teal one.  I'll try to take some pictures later and post them.  So if this is a defect does that ruin any value it might have?
