Question about food color

If I dont have red dye from my goo kit,if I add a few drops of red food color while the wax is flowing.. I forget,will it change the wax red,in this case is what I want  or does it only change the water color? Thanks for any info..

Food coloring will only change the water color, for the wax to change you either need goo kit color or oil based candle dye.
