I will not disclose my process of making my wheels, you are more than welcome to try making your own.
About 6 months ago, I was trying to repair a chrome Fantasia 4000. The motor assembly fell and the glass color wheel broke. I made a replacement color wheel using thin sheets of polycarbonate, (about 1/16 inch thick), my computer scanner, my color laserjet printer, Photoshop, and transparency film.
I first saved a scanned image of the broken wheel to my computer. I then edited that image using Photoshop, trying to match the colors the best I could. (it took several days, but I finally got the colors to project pretty close to the original wheel when installed The purple isn't quite as vibrant, and may need a little more adjustment in Photoshop). My printer doesn't exactly match the colors showing on my computer monitor, so I had to make a lot of color adjustments.
Using Dremel hobby tools, I cut two round discs from thin sheets of polycarbonate, and trimmed the printed transparency to match. I then sandwiched the transparency film between the two polycarbonate discs. The original flat metal "spring" holds the two polycarbonate discs and transparency film together when installed. To make the colors more vibrant, I overlayed two or three transparency film discs between the polycarbonate discs, making sure the colored sections match-up.
I'm wondering if colored light filters used by photographers will work as suitable transparencies material.
If color replacement disc do become available, I may purchase a couple, to keep as replacements, depending on the cost.

What kind of paint do you use on your wheels maybe I can do it myself
I'm so confused and upset. This can't be this difficult? I was just looking for the sprays for my lamp. If anyone wants the 4000 with a working wheel, you can have it. I'm sorry I ever tried to find the sprays because it's obviously a passion for several people - ME INCLUDED! I would much rather someone enjoy the lamp if they have the sprays. I found it and loved it...my damn pet knocked it off the table. You can have the wheel! The whole entire thing.
I am once again delightfully confused. I love my lamp, I have another and I protect it with all my heart. There are no dings, the lamp works, I know because I've tried it with the lamp I had to buy on ebay...Reluctantly!!! because I spent a fortune, but, it makes my day. My neighbors get upset if I donn't turn it on! We all enjoy it. I'll certainly hold on to it if you can get the sprays working!!!! The whole lamp is perfect. Depressing, actually because it shows no damage but I cant find the sprays....
