rewiring a jet?

could anyone walk me through rewiring a jet from 240V to 120V?

how would i take the socket out of the lamp base?
i inspected it, and everything looks to be one piece.

also, what do you mean by 8z LW and 20z LW?

I love the Jets, I only own one, but they were great lamps, congrats!

Here is the pic of a 8oz LW (LAVA WORLD) they stand about 10" tall and are very cheap to buy
