(minimum to maximum prices you saw)
Is it the only "mercure like" available model?

Anywhere between £40 - £80+ depending if the liquid is cloudy, the lamp (AB or Telstar) & if boxed

I found one for sale, but there is a lot of small blobs inside, do you think it is normal, or is it shot?

that just look either overheated or like it was jostled a bit

Yup - mine does the same thing.  This is normal as Arne says.

Try a lower watt bulb - takes longer to get going but less blobs

Once saw a boxed BIN (Buy it Now) silver glitterball and regret not snapping it up for a mere £40 (about e45)
