Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Hi,

I've got a problem with my Mathmos Space Projector.

The wheel doesn't turn anymore.

I called Mathmos and they don't have spare motor :-(

Do you know where I can find a motor somewhere?

Thanks

Have you taken it apart yet - does the moter connect to a circut board or does it work / connect to a trandsformer inside the unit

You can find moters but you will need to know exactly what moter it is.

Hi Tim,

the motor is directly connected to the cables.

I think there is a bad contact inside the motor, because sometimes it works again.

here is how it looks:

You could try taking the moter apart and see see if there is anything that is clearly causing the problem and try fault finding if you feel confident to do this.

I don't have any knowladge or experance with this type of moter (i have some expernce and training with moving light maintaince). I would reccomend googling the moter type and also check out electronic shops to see if they sell it / know about it.
