Ok, I just placed my order at Spencersonline.com
If you spend $49 or more you get free shipping, however, lava lamps are heavy so they charge $5 each. (Still not bad!)
Then I found a code to get 10% off. It is: SHAF10 This code can be used until 11/30
So long story short, I got a greande and a 52 oz for $74, shipping included. Pretty good, huh?
OK, I got the Grande.....and yep, it's cloudy.....VERY CLOUDY!!! Will running a lamp that big make it clear up? Or should I just fly down to Lava World in Carol Stream IL and b*tch slap the CEO?
HELP!!!!!
Yes, you are right. Yellow and purple. However, (and this is weird) I went to Spencers (store) today. They had a Yellow/Purple Grande there and I bought it. When I got it home, it was a tad cloudy, but not like the one that I ordered from their online site. So I plan to return the one that came to me from their website back to the store and keep the clear one. A little dishonest? Maybe....but if the product was of good quality they I would not have all this agravation! Also the green/clear 50oz that I ordered online was cloudy also. Maybe they sell their cloudy ones at their on-line store because they know that most people will not want to go through all the trouble to send them back?

The one from the online store is the Grande on the left.
I think b*tch slapping the CEO is your best bet with a cloudy globe.
Sorry to hear about that.

Like the gunk I had in my Grande
How did that project turn out? Last I heard you were having some trouble with the wax.
I have decided that you are right....I do need to get a filter/pump. I have a cloudy Grande,a Giant, some 32's, as well as a few cloudy vintage lamps. If I had a filter last week I could have saved a lamp from 1972. (Craigslist score.) However, after I changed the water the wax wouldn't flow so I had to repour it with a new 52oz. (Probably a better choice....the old wax was a pea-soup green--ug!)
Good to hear from you! How are the fur-babies?
