Whats the date?
October 22, 1972
Its worth whatever you paid for it. These old centuries arent really gold mines. Oh and what color is the cap?

silver
Your Century was originally brass. Many Centuries around (a little before and after) '72 had their "brass" base lacquer done badly, so that sun and/or heat faded it and the silver metal showed. What colors inside? I'd call these in the $25-50 range, personally, and the silver-faded ones seem to most commonly appear with the poor green/blue formula that turns into a "bubbling green pond scum in cloudy snot-water" color. I think these are pretty cool.
I concur. These are somewhat common, but pics will help us all decide what it might be worth. I have a blue/green Century from the 70s, too. Got it for about $28.
Wait, are you SURE the cap isn't gold, Kempton? The cap should be gold and the base silver. Unless the globe was replaced with a modern one. If the date sticker inside the cap is square, it's old and should have a gold cap. Date stickers from the Silver Century era (mid-90s) are round.
the cap is definently silver, but i have a gold cap century. The date sticker is a rectangle and is september 1973.

Your silver cap is a rectangle, 1973? Can you post a photo of the entire lamp, please?

Lava Lite did a black Aristocrat around that time, The Commander, and a silver Aristocrat has shown up that is obviously vintage (one of the peculiar Aristos with the taller, narrower upper cone). A silver that is verifiably 1973 would be very, very notable!

no the gold is 1973
