Does anyone know anything about this lamp. It's like a Century bottle on a strange base. Not sure what it is.

HA! lol funny stuff, Deb just posted a photo of this same floor lamp. http://oozinggoo.ning.com/photo/what-is-it?context=latest Thats all it is, its like accent lighting for stuff that sits on your floor like a house plant. The seller just found another use for it. I've actually used the same base for a couple of my custom lamps.
This reminds me of the old silly lamp thread lol
Dr. WHAT is right it is just an old globe stuck on top of a floor lamp, on a side note, if that 52oz globe is run on a 100W bulb for very long at all it will overheat and burn up. Not to mention that thing looks bloody stupid. It has been on ebay for a while for a rather obvious reason.
good god i didn't even see that description, that lamp would probably crack with a 100w on it.
I got that floor lamp for pennies. It takes a small wattage bulb so I plan to use it for something. I found a Chow glass head in a local shop that would fit perfectly and not look so top heavy as they do on a LL base. Or....I may just make a Pink Floyd 2 something or other. If all else fails it'll work well for a clear liquor bottle lava.
FLOYD! ;-)

I was going to say, wouldn't the extreme heat from the 100 watt bulb burn up the wax? It seems like it could be a fire hazard as well.

Bizarre frankenlamp. I always wanted to use one of those halogen puck lights like you get at Ikea and put a 32oz. on it, but I never got up the brass balls to try it.
