how do you know if you have a wax sticking to the side verus it just being close to it.

It looks like it just cooled that way.  Try running the lamp for a few hours to allow for proper temperature before turning it off.

i ran it for a bit and its all good now i think it was just a bit to cold in my room for it earlier
