Sun fading globes

Hey so I was just wondering if anyone has any insight on sun fading globes. I want to face my yellow/blue to a yellow/clear, but since I live in an apartment that doesn't get any direct sun, I have to set it outside my front door to get it in the sun. Just wondering if anyone knows about how long it takes. Thanks!

Several weeks in the winter time, maybe a couple in the summer.  If it's outside in the winter make sure temperatures will be above freezing!
