Hi!
Hopefully you folks are the people to help me. I'm trying to determine the value of a Psychedelic Swirl model #7324, with bluish liquid and greenish-yellow lava. It's been sadly sitting in its box for several years, and I just noticed that an identical lamp recently went for $70-some on ebay. I know the Swirls are out of production, but is there something special about this model? I see the Swirls drawing very variable prices. If it turns out that my lamp is worth more than a few bucks, I'd like to make sure to get full value -- and it seems that this is the place for people who really love their lamps, so if any of you guys are interested in it, I'd be happy to sell it to a good home.
Thanks in advance for any advice you have!
thanks for the response! I'm upload two pictures -- one in daylight, not plugged in (although it's been in the box pretty much all this time, and hasn't been exposed to much daylight over the years), and another while I'm trying to interest my infant son in the lamp while it's warming up. It did eventually start oozing well, but he was bored by then. ;)
Thanks for the followup, everyone. By the way, one more piece of info -- the bottlecap has a #24, if that makes a difference. From what you've said, it sounds like the lamp was worth $60 at some past time, so I can only assume it's gone up in value since then.
Even so, does anybody on the boards here want it for $60 plus shipping? My first choice would be to get it to a lava enthusiast who is certain to enjoy it.
If nobody here wants it, I guess I'll ebay it -- unless you guys can recommend a vintage lava lamp dealer or similar business that buys old lamps?
Thanks again!
