When exactly did Lava Lamps start being made in China? (and the quality going plotz)

Just wanting to know when the quality when to crap.... mo/yr date that would appear on the lamp.

Don't know the exact date but early 2003 is when they switched over seas. Each year quality got worse now to the point where the lamps just won't even flow. 1994,1995,1997 were excellent years and in my opinion the BEST YEARS EVER for lava.
It had to be the end of 2002 cuz I have a few globes from Nov 2002 with the Lava Lite Logo on it.
But I would have to agree, they weren't bad when they first switched.
