My First Lava Lamp was:: Midnight: Red lava/yellow liquid; bought in the '90s, broken by little brother. :(

My little collection:

1. Lava table lamp: red lava/clear liquid/silver plastic base, bought from Target for cheap during the after-Christmas sale with Christmas money from my late grandma. aww. :) I like this lamp ~~but I hate that it tends to overheat after only a few hours. Must be the tiny bulb compartment.~~ and now that I have it on a lamp dimmer, it doesn't overheat anymore! Thanks, oozing goo!

2. Lava accent lamp: tiny, white lava/pink liquid/silver base, bought from the clearance rack at Walgreen's for $5. For that price, I had to have it! It's the only lava in my bedroom (the others are in the living room). Works fine.

3. Wizard: yellow lava/blue liquid/black base with star and moon cut outs, bought at a yard sale for $10. Again, had to have it!! This is my favorite because it can flow beautifully for DAYS without overheating. Must be the cut-outs/air holes.

4. Silver base, purple liquid, yellow lava, 16", US-made, won on eBay for $15 (plus $12 shipping and insurance). It survived shipping and works GREAT!
