the blue and orange would have made a nice little couple Chris!

I heated it last night and managed to get the bottle out, it was a very tight fit. the movement of the pieces was very nice actually, and I am kind of loathe to refil it, but the level is way too low and there is a scummy ring around the inside. The bottle lid is highly corroded and absolutely stinks when you take the blue cap off!

I was a little annoyed that it has a painted bottom, as my plan was to re-fill with clear and use a blue bulb, but I will examine the base and see if I can do anything about that.

My original plan was to use a jet glitter but obviously now that wont be enough fluid so will have to go the cheapy route instead as I dont have 2 jet glitters I want to break into.

Your orange one is lovely Chris and I would like one of those one day, retro orange being a favourite of mine!

will post piccies as soon as I have it sorted.

xx

I will give that a go tonight :D
I watch loads of stuff on ebay, mostly with no intention of buying as I know they will probably go for more than I can afford.
I just like to see how much things go for and see any unusual lamps that crop up now and then

Hi Richard. Yes it is and I'm glad you missed it! i got it for just under £7 less the shipping, bonus!
its alot bigger than I thought. I imagined the bottle would be like a jet but is much thicker and the shape and colour reminds me of a crayon.
:)

hey Chris
I've just bought one like your orange in blue. Are the bottles a bit tight in the base? mine seems stuck fast although I know it will come out. Any tips for loosening?
also, its alot bigger than I thought.
The glitter in mine is also transparent, I assume it is a chemical thing with the liquid, surely they were not meant to be like this?

I heart the green one ;) Funny, the Italians (or French?) did the same color combo in the 70's as the Fluidium green/blue way before Mathmos in the 2000's.

The left one's been refilled, I think. In the right one, use the lowest wattage bulb you can - five or seven - and don't run it all day or night.
