Hello Fellow gooers,
I have a lovely Mathmos Lunar that I have slowly been refurbishing. Wiring and dimmer switch have been replaced and runs perfectly. One thing that is annoying me is the pointed tip is now missing. My daughter managed to unscrew it and it been lost for months now. Anyone know of reproductions being done? Mathmos are un-interested...
I also have a spare bottle, tempted to be brave and re-fill it. Currently have the standard green.
Thanks, Gavlaar.

Gavin - best bet... ask Autumn if she has the link to the UK Ebay website that used to be attainable here and it rocked. You may find a seller who has the top for sale or the entire lamp. It was great becasue it allowed me to buy rare Mathmos lamps like the one you see the baby Alien I named IT holding. I'm guessing these days all you have to do is go to ebay UK and look up lava light. Here's a starter point -

If it's any consolation, my one and only Lunar is also Bullet Tip free. I think this is because it was on public display in a medical centre waiting room many years ago. Bought it for a steal but would love the pointy bit for it. I have seen them on sale on E-bay and they normally go for about £45- £50.
Thanks for the link Lamp Caretaker, I'll just have to keep looking.
There was a chap in the Netherlands reproducing the tips but looks like he's stopped...
I have asked Mathmos for the measurements of the tip but brick wall there!
Seem to be a common problem Modulo!
