Something like this, gutted and converted
Custom builds plus shipping prevent me from considering having something made. Your description gives me some ideas though. Such as converting a cabinet and using can lights, along with metal stove rings to seat the bottles on.
Hi!
The base was built by a dear friend who does custom furniture/woodwork. I'd have to ask him specifically what he did to wire everything up underneath, but it has definitely been a life saver for my "zen zone."
Three of the lights have dimmers, there are small vents in the front, and the top opens up for easy bulb changes. Since I make most of my lamps with liquor bottles and other thick-glass vessels, they tend to require high-wattage bulbs, otherwise I imagine he could make something smaller for the 15-30w lamps.
I know he's always looking for new and challenging projects, so if you're interested in a custom base for multiple lamps, feel free to give me a shout and I'd be happy to make that connection!
Um yeah, so, WOW! I like these a lot!
I am most intrigued by the light table/base set up too. If you could detail how you set that up, that would be great!
