Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Painting this Century 2-piece base since it came in such bad shape. Painting it brass color. Even though the cap shows it to be shiny, it didn't come out that way. I'm actually happier with it this way though.

a nice light sanding with a fine grit paper and second coat would probably eliminate the raised specs in paint..

I am loving the richness in color though.. you are fast becoming a paint pro woman..I am impressed how the base starlight cut outs  came out so perfect and not clogged from paint..

I'm actually ok with it as-is. Looks a little more authentic this way. For some reason, the paint has little dots in it that are rough, but I'm ok with the finish. Thanks Lamp!

Looks pretty good to me. I wonder if a shot of clear coat will make it shine...
