That tiled wall is actually a rack system in my garage.  It's a great place for hanging things, and the garage is a good place for working on the lamps.

The goo is actually original Lava Lite goo.  I bought this lamp from Amazon.

I was surprised that the goo was translucent on the first run.  It reminded me of MT goo.  On subsequent runs, the goo turned opaque.

Love your tiled wall.

ya magmatower's goo starts out more transparent, especially when you use just a smidge of coloring.

I've recently discovered it only takes a small sliver of blue or red and wow. that looks cool though. a small blob of yellow and the rest of it looks green. so it's 3 colors.

It seems they go clear when the wax gets super hot, maybe the first run is hotter than the others?

Yeah.....My purple/yellow grande was translucent the first time I ran it.
Anyone know the science behind this? I'm curious.
