That tiled wall is actually a rack system in my garage. Β It's a great place for hanging things, and the garage is a good place for working on the lamps.

The goo is actually original Lava Lite goo. Β I bought this lamp from Amazon.

I was surprised that the goo was translucent on the first run. Β It reminded me of MT goo. Β On subsequent runs, the goo turned opaque.

Love your tiled wall.

ya magmatower's goo starts out more transparent, especially when you use just a smidge of coloring.

I've recently discovered it only takes a small sliver of blue or red and wow. that looks cool though. a small blob of yellow and the rest of it looks green. so it's 3 colors.

It seems they go clear when the wax gets super hot, maybe the first run is hotter than the others?

Yeah.....My purple/yellow grande was translucent the first time I ran it.
Anyone know the science behind this? I'm curious.
