Does anyone know how to fix this? the wax floats above the coil and does not flow

Thank you I tried this and it worked if I have issues again ill try the dimmerΒ

This is a quick fix I found on a former Lava Lite dealer's website. I believe a more permanent fix is to remove the coil and give it a good cleaning and hope that the wax will again stick to it. I have also heard of someone putting their lamp on a dimmer after the wax is just fully melted and leaving it where a small blob would shoot up every so often and leave it dimmed for a few hours.
