New mathmos globe

Very dissapointed.
the glass bottom of the globe base is much thicker than the original which makes the coil visible above the base and spoils the classic look of Astolamps for me.

The formula and flow is perfect its just the bottle just don't look right.

the globe is on a Mathmos aluminium base showing the coil.

However on a "Crestie" MK4 base it is just out of view as this model is about 1/4" higher up the globe so you should be ok.
