Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Just refurbished this Lava Lite lamp yesterday with a Magma Tower Goo Kit. I loved the original but the wax died.

Haven't colored it yet. Really love the action of this lamp so far! The air bubbles will work their way out after some use, then I'll recap the top with a beer bottle capper.

Behind it is an unmodified 2012 Lava Lite "Target Exclusive" Clearview lamp, which coincidentally has about the same action.

I like purple, but if you don't you could always add more dye and make it black, since black wax lava is just really dark, dark purple.

White wax should look good for a while but tends to go yellow or brownish as it ages.  It's still good for dying though as the dye masks the age effects.

Thanks Keith - Eventually I'm going to keep one of these with white wax as I think it looks awesome. Also coloring my Grande with blue ended up "Barney Purple", so I'm not eager to mess the color up on another one!
