Here's my custom dyed heritage grande. It has a second coil added, and is running from a ceramic reptile heater (100w). The result is that the wax appears almost to float in the air, without the fluid or glass being noticable. The heater produces no light, so external lighting is required.

Yes, they are not cheap to buy, unless you are willing import and to wait a month for delivery
(and usually get a few that arrive damaged)

Interesting project! Did you just exchange the bulb with the ceramic heater, or did you modify anything else?
