I found that if you use food coloring to color the water it will fade really fast if left in the sun. So I add color heavy to start, if I dont like it I leave it in the window sill for about a week and it's clear as water. Then you can change color again. After I get them how I like them, then no more sun exposure. A friend of mine said this looks like a "Urine Sample"....maybe need some more fading. That is not the look I was going for.
This one uses two coils and a 50 watt spot light right under the glass. It flows awesome. I have run it for 24 hours straight, it never gets too hot, no need for a dimmer. The goo is a dark red and looks killer at night. Need to build a better base. This is all I could come up with for now. The column I bought was 4' tall, it wanted to keep falling over. I cut it way down and now it sits solid. I had to super glue in the stopper, it kept popping off and I had to look for it all the time. Now it is on for good !
