This was a clear glass Christmas tree candy jar. The lid was the top of the tree. It would not work. I gave it a custom paint job and a custom goo kit. Here it is...one of my favorites. The goo is a bright yellow with the strong green to match the lamp. The picture shows the goo as dark, it's not.

This is great lamp. I have never seen anyone attempt one. I will sell in on E-Bay. It's hard to control the cracking of the paint. It can look awesome or like crap real fast.

When it finally dries ( 1-2 days) spray a clear over it. Here it is with a satin over it to protect the flat paint from chipping off.
To get the paint to crack , 1st spray it with a gloss paint and while it is wet spray a flat 2nd color over the 1st. Wait a minute or two and it will start to crack. It takes some practice, but I have managed to get pretty good at it. I have done it many times in lots of colors...it's a neat effect.
